We've been saddened by the passing of our dear friend and associate Toye Kates, Jr. Toye was with us for over 19 years and he will be missed by all of his friends, musicians and clients at Westwood. Toye worked with Joe Evans and Carnival Records in the '60s and came on board with Westwood in 2001 to handle the Carnival Records Catalog. He was instrumental in having Westwood administer the songs for The Manhattans early catalog as well as the musical works of Edward "Sonny" Bivins and Kenneth Kelly, the two "Original" Manhattans.
